Alex Gregory Pays a Visit to Lower Mill

Double Olympic Champion Alex took a well earned break from training to join us at our Habitat House Open House Event

We were very pleased to welcome Double Olympic Rowing Champion Alex Gregory and his family to Lower Mill Estate last weekend with his two gold medals from London 2012 and Rio 2016.

Alex took some time away from his grueling training regime to spend the day speaking with residents, answering questions about what it takes to become a Double Olympic Gold Medal Winner and letting guests take pictures with him and his two gold medals (as perfectly demonstrated by our co-owner Red Paxton grinning from ear-to-ear, beaming like an excitable school boy with two gold medals around his neck). The general consensus amongst our guests was the age old adage of “Wow, they really are heavier than I thought!”.

After the event, Alex was kind enough to send us a heart warming message in which he was full of praise for Lower Mill Estate and our wonderful residents:

“Great day on Saturday, really enjoyed being there, catching up with you and your team and speaking to your customers! Fantastic everything you’ve got going there and a pleasure to be a tiny part of it!”

He also added that “It was a pleasure chatting to the customers, without exception really nice people! Just who you want living there!”

The event was a resounding success with everyone enjoying drinks, canapés and handmade pizzas with a variety of locally sourced toppings cooked by our Sicilian chef straight from our wood fired oven.
